Slovenia is a relatively small country, the size of which is only half of the Moscow region, but which at the same time has ski and thermal resorts, picturesque lakes, protected forests, numerous parks, alpine pastures, hilly plains, meadows and fields. It is not surprising that it is considered the greenest country in Europe. Its cities located on the Adriatic coast are also very famous.
Slovenian seaside resorts are spread out in the south of the country on 46 kilometers between Croatia and Italy. The unique history of Slovenia is especially felt on the coast of the local Adriatic - Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages and the Republic of Venice left a rich heritage here, thanks to which the local towns are especially beautiful. It can also be recalled that Slovenia was part of the "big" Yugoslavia and became the only one of its member countries, during the 90s. It did not participate in the local civil war, seized neighboring states, which significantly affected its rapid development in all spheres of life.
And today it has become one of the quietest and most prosperous countries in Europe, on the territory of which the vast majority of indigenous people, that is, Slovenes, live - an unprecedented luxury for many countries that have been flooded with migrants over the past decades. Therefore, those who like to immerse themselves in the world of local residents may really like Slovenia and its resorts.
It is worth noting that vacation by the sea in Slovenia has long been favored by Italians and Germans, who appreciated the local high quality of housing, safety, varied food, rich nature, various excursions, etc. It is not surprising that the seaside housing market of this country began to develop actively. Investors from Europe were also interested in the Slovenian real estate market due to the growing popularity of its tourist destinations in the European tourist market. Now the percentage of Russian-speaking investors and buyers who choose this country and its Adriatic resorts not only as a place to spend their holidays, but also for permanent residence is growing.
The seaside towns of Slovenia are known for their mild sea climate, so you can swim here from the first days of May until the end of November. The sun shines 340 days a year over this part of the country, but there is no severe sweltering heat here. Due to its compactness, it is possible to get to Ljubljana from the coast in just two hours, which allows many to work in the capital and conduct business without denying themselves the pleasure of living near the waters of the Adriatic. Unsurprisingly, the coast of Slovenia, in cities such as Koper, Piran, Izola and Portoroz, an unprecedented increase in prices for the purchase of local housing has been observed over the past few years.
Portorozh
This resort, located 120 km from Ljubljana, is considered the most fashionable on the Slovenian Riviera. Portoroz has become the center of attraction for Slovenian beach holidays – there are many bars, cafes, casinos, attractions for children, sports facilities, restaurants, shops, tennis courts and yacht clubs. The city is also known for its geothermal springs, therapeutic mud with a rare composition of minerals. There are spa centers that actively use local thermal salt. To the south of the city is the village of Lucia, where there is a large marina for thousands of yachts. As for the beach, here it is sandy bulk.
Residential quarters here are located 500 m from the coastline - usually this is the second line from the sea, since hotels are located on the first. Houses and apartments here are of great interest to foreign buyers of real estate. Two-bedroom apartments can be purchased here for an amount of 200 000 euros. Buying a house with an area of about 200 sq.m will average from 500,000 euros and above. The city is rich in premium villas, the cost of which starts from 1 million euros.
Isola
This resort with a centuries-old history is located on the seashore 8 km from Portoroz. Previously, it was located on an island (which can also be understood from the name of the city), but the dam built by the Slovenes turned it into a peninsula. Today Isola is a great place for a sea holiday, where you can combine a beach holiday with walks, excursions, visiting festivals and numerous restaurants. Lovers of marine entertainment can also make a choice in favor of Izola: there is a surf school, rental of water equipment (canoes, bicycles), a diving center. It is here that fans of surfing and sailing tend to come. And the marina of the resort is designed for 700 berths for yachts, usually lower than in Portoroz or Piran. For example, here in the suburbs you can buy a house with a sea view for 300,000 euros.
Koper
This resort, located 8 km from Izola, is located on an island that connects to the mainland of Slovenia by an embankment. Today it is a major passenger terminal and commercial port of Slovenia. It is also home to Slovenia's leading university - Primorsky University. Therefore, many entrepreneurs and students live here. Koper is imbued with Italian flavor, since he was in the department of the Republic of Venice for a long time. A townhouse here can be purchased for 400,000-600,000 euros, depending on the area and location of the house.
Piran
You can come to this city on foot by walking along the embankment for half an hour from Portoroz. Piran is an atmospheric town, within which numerous monuments of history and Venetian architecture are concentrated. Those who like to relax on a pebble beach will appreciate the local rocky beach and the clear and deep sea. Piran is also famous for its fish restaurants, where many residents of Slovenia and neighboring countries come on weekends. In this city, you can buy an apartment for 300,000 - 450,000 euros in close proximity to the sea. There are also unique offers from expensive villas with an impressive area, first-class furniture, a swimming pool, a fireplace and other attributes of a cozy expensive house. Their cost can vary from 1 to 3 million euros.
