Montenegro is a wonderful country for the treatment of the Mediterranean climate. Montenegro medicine for foreigners
If a foreigner has a local residence permit or permanent residence in Montenegro (called "Boravak"), then he has the right to receive state medical services. To do this, you need to issue a medical card ("hello book") and you can already use medical services on a par with Montenegrins.
With such a document, a foreigner can receive free medical care in polyclinics ("house of health") hospitals (there are about ten in the country) and specialized clinics (neurological, surgical, orthopedic, etc.), undergo paid services with a good discount (MRI, etc.), as well as conduct pregnancy for free, childbirth (they will cost from 600 euros for a fee) and the following year. As in many countries, free state medicine in Montenegro is associated with the factor of a long wait for both an appointment (several hours of waiting in the corridor) and the very possibility of a quick appointment with a good specialist.
Therefore, even among citizens of Montenegro, not to mention foreigners, private paid medical centers are very popular, where you can quickly get an appointment with a doctor (if you ask a Russian-speaking person, it will be much easier to do than in the case of a state institution), quickly pass all the necessary studies and start treatment faster. The initial appointment with a private specialist will cost 30 euros (as well as the cost of a standard filling at the dentist), the subsequent 20 euros.

Medical insurance
Any foreigner who legally resides on the territory of Montenegro must have medical insurance, since it is needed for registration of a "boravka". But usually when it is issued, it has a short validity period (for example, a month) and an attractive price of 25-30 euros. But for permanent residence, this option is not suitable. In Montenegro, foreigners most often make medical insurance for a year and turn to, in fact, the monopolist insurance company UNIQA on this issue. The most budget option, which includes a minimum set of medical services, will be from 350 euros annually. The more expensive the medical insurance, the more services it includes, including hospital treatment, expensive research, dentistry, etc. The cost is calculated based on the client's request, his gender and age.
Pharmacies
If a doctor from a state clinic prescribes a prescription, then it will be possible to buy medicine much cheaper in a state pharmacy than in private ones, or even get it for free. But this is possible only if they are available, so it is better to call the pharmacy in advance and clarify the availability of the necessary medicine.

Balneology
If we consider Montenegro from the point of view of balneology, then there is a resort town Igalo on the Adriatic coast, which is located near Herceg Novi. For many years, it has been one of the most popular places in the country and abroad for thermal springs and local mud treatment. There are many sanatoriums and rehabilitation centers that offer a variety of treatment programs. But even if you do not live in them, you can also agree on treatment, as well as independently visit the healing springs of mineral waters, mud baths of the Igalka river, as well as take walks through local forests, where the air rich in phytoncides has a special therapeutic effect.
