All medical institutions in Germany are equipped with the most modern equipment and highly qualified personnel. Many go to Germany not only for treatment, but also for preventive examinations and for undergoing rehabilitation programs in specialized German clinics, as well as in resorts. Depending on the possibilities and needs, there is an appropriate offer for each patient. Today, the cost of treatment in Germany is significantly lower than, for example, in clinics in the United States. Conditions for the treatment of foreigners in Germany Most often it is more convenient to organize treatment in Germany through a specialized company that has sufficient experience in carrying out this process. After a preliminary telephone consultation, the patient sends all the information he has about the illness by e-mail to the company representative, which in turn processes this information and, on the basis of a preliminary opinion, selects a specific doctor in the appropriate clinic. Then a preliminary treatment plan is developed and an estimated cost is calculated, which consists of organizational and medical costs. This information is sent to the patient for review and approval. At the same time, the patient himself decides which of the organizational and medical expenses he accepts and which does not. In case of a positive response from the patient, paperwork begins. To obtain a visa, you need a standard package of documents, as well as an invitation from a clinic or a company indicating the purpose of the trip (treatment, examination, etc.). Documents are issued for the patient and one accompanying person. If the treatment requires more than the planned time, the visa is extended. Upon arrival in Germany, the patient undergoes a preliminary examination in order to check the previous diagnosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, then the patient follows the treatment plan, otherwise the plan is adjusted. Cost of treatment and payment for services The cost of treatment in Germany consists of organizational and medical expenses. Organizational expenses, as a rule, include flight, visa processing, accommodation, accompaniment of a doctor who speaks German and Russian, etc. There is also a service for the transportation of patients who cannot move independently. Translation of all necessary documents (medical history, patient card), in order to save money, is recommended to be done in Russia. The work of an accompanying bilingual doctor is paid on a daily basis and the cost is fixed (about 200 euros per day), regardless of how much time the accompanying doctor spent with the patient. The transfer to the clinic costs about 50-60 euros. Medical expenses include examination, stay in the clinic, tests, provision of medicines, etc. The cost of a general examination is 2000-3000 euros, treatment can cost up to 50,000-100,000 euros. A hospital stay costs about 50-500 euros per day. When contacting a company that has a special state permit for the right to engage in this activity, all services, as a rule, are performed on a 100% prepayment basis. For example, a company estimate of the estimated cost would cost around ˆ 300. If the patient agrees to the treatment, this amount will be deducted from the total cost. To pay for medical services in Germany, it is not necessary to open an account with a German bank; money can come from any source. Health insurance Now for non-residents of the European community, including Russian citizens, there is an opportunity to conclude a health insurance contract for the use of medical services in Russia and abroad. For example, such insurance is provided by the large British insurance company BUPA. Having concluded such an agreement, the full cost of visits to any medical institution to any doctor regarding outpatient, inpatient and dental treatment in Western Europe, including Great Britain and Switzerland, Russia and China, is covered by the insurance company. The cost of insurance for one person ranges from 200 to 800 euros per month (depending on age). Payment for medical services is carried out in one of the following ways: 1) if there is a direct agreement between the medical institution and the insurance company, the payments are made without the participation of the patient; 2) if there is no such agreement, then: - the doctor issues a preliminary invoice to the insurance company, receives confirmation of payment and serves the patient; - the doctor receives from the patient a signed annex to the health insurance contract, which allows him to bill the insurance company for services rendered directly; - the doctor issues an invoice for the services rendered, the patient pays it with his own money, then sends the invoice to the insurance company, which in turn transfers this amount to the patient's bank account. To draw up a contract for obtaining health insurance, you must fill out a form and send it to the insurance company. The questionnaire contains the entire medical history of a person for the last 5-7 years. If the client deliberately hid any data, but the insurance company found out, then the contract is terminated. Therefore, it is important to indicate complete information in the questionnaire. From the moment of receiving the policy, the insurance comes into force. The information is provided by Oswelt GmbH specifically for HomesOverseas.ru. Oswelt GmbH organizes highly qualified medical care and Western European health insurance for citizens from the former USSR. The company is also actively involved in organizing international conferences and supplying medical and other scientific and technical equipment. HomesOverseas.ru
