Hello Elena, asked a very good question.
The fact that, where a person is born, is of no importance in obtaining a residence permit, and so does not matter when receiving permanent residence or obtaining Hungarian citizenship.
If the buyer - a citizen of a third country, following the conclusion of the purchase of real estate, on the basis of which the transition of ownership of the contract, you must obtain permission from the relevant Hungarian authorities on the transfer of ownership. Then you become the full owner of the purchased property.
It should be borne in mind that owning real estate in Hungary does not give an automatic right to a residence permit, but can contribute in obtaining visa type D.
In more detail the process of obtaining a residence permit have the opportunity to talk in-person consultation.
Yours faithfully

If you buy a property in Hungary you get the right to live of 90 days per year in the country immediately.
If you want to get visa D you have to apply personally in the Hungarian embassy.
The procedure takes till 3 months I think. My opinion is that you have much bigger chance to get visa D If you have already a property there.

HUNGARY. Other issues
My father has been living in Hungary almost constantly for the last 10 years with his second wife and their daughters. In September 2023, my father died. There is a Russian will entirely in favor of the spouse. In Hungary, my father owned a house and an apartment, a car, and bank accounts. Unfortunately, I don't know the addresses. The widow refuses to make contact. How do I find out the contact of the notary who conducts the case?
