If retired parents receive a residence permit or citizenship, then their children under the age of 18 are entitled to a similar status. If children are over 18 years old - then they should choose their own options for obtaining a residence permit or citizenship, as independent persons. The residence permit of the parents in this case does not matter. Citizenship of parents is important, but a child older than 18 years will not receive it automatically - there will be a more complicated procedure.

Good afternoon! Unfortunately, your question has mixed up various aspects that are not related to each other. The fact is that the purchase of real estate in itself is not an obligatory step for obtaining a residence permit in Bulgaria. For parents of pensioners, such a reason is that they are pensioners, and housing can also be rented. Prior to citizenship, at least 10 years of residence in Bulgaria - 5 years with a residence permit and then 5 with permanent residence. Children family members of holders of residence permits can also receive this status, but only until they are 18 years old, then they need to have their own basis for living in Bulgaria.

Hello. If the children are adults, then they completely separately, for their reasons, submit documents for residence permit or permanent residence. They are not related to parents.
