Is it possible to apply for a residence permit after buying an apartment (90k euros) in Lithuania for a couple in which one spouse is already retired? We live in Israel ourselves.

Buying an apartment in Lithuania does not automatically grant the right to obtain a residence permit (residence permit).
To obtain a residence permit in Lithuania, you must have one of the following grounds::
1. Employment opportunities: Availability of an official job offer from a Lithuanian employer;
2. Doing business: Opening a company with an authorized capital of at least 14,000 euros and creating jobs;
3. Education: Admission to an accredited educational institution in Lithuania;
4. Family reunification: If one of the spouses is a citizen or permanent resident of Lithuania.
Retirement age in itself is not a reason for obtaining a residence permit.

Please explain: when buying an apartment in Vilnius, does ownership transfer to a Russian buyer, or are there government restrictions? Why do they say that it is better to buy for a company rather than for an individual?
