Hello, different banks have different conditions. The rules for opening an account mainly depend on the type of visa: if you are staying in Thailand on a tourist visa, then yes - they require a sales contract or other similar documents - to confirm the intention to make an incoming international transfer. (Not all banks are so strict, but some impose an insurance service for opening an account. It is better to bypass several banks, compare the conditions) If you are staying in Thailand on a different visa (business / pension) - then the rules for opening an account are much softer - as a rule, a long-term lease agreement, certificate of registration with the immigration police at the place of residence (Residence certificate) I would also like to note that there are "solvers" who can help in opening an account even on a tourist visa. Their methods and methods are different, including bribes, including fake documents. For my part, I highly discourage using such services.
