Tax on the sale of a Russian apartment in Germany
Angela asks:
Good afternoon. I am selling an apartment in Russia, which I have owned for over 10 years. I am not a resident and not a citizen of Russia, German citizenship. Does Germany tax this sale? What documents or checks can the German tax authorities require? What difficulties can there be? thanks

You will need to pay tax in Russia. In Germany, you do not have to report to the tax office, they will not find out about it. As a rule, apartments are not double taxed.
