Hello Daniel. Obtaining a residence permit based on the ownership of 50% of housing can be 2 families only if the owners are the mother or father of 50% and the independent family of her adult child OVER 18 YEARS OLD - the second 50%. If these are different families that are not related by such kinship, then it is impossible to obtain a residence permit.

Yes. The first 3 years - you can. According to the current rules of Montenegro - For the 4th year, you will need to have 51% of the share of real estate to extend the residence permit. That is only one couple to get an extension for the 4th year. But who knows, maybe by that time you will buy a second property in ChG. Or move to another country.
