Good afternoon, Angela! After you have chosen the property you like, you need to sign a notarized purchase and sale agreement. If you cannot physically attend the signing of the contract in Montenegro, you need to issue a power of attorney to purchase an apartment on your behalf. This can be done in any country, and it will not be difficult to translate the power of attorney into Serbian. After signing the notarial agreement, you will be able to send funds to the seller's checking account by submitting the same notarial purchase and sale agreement to your bank in Turkey. We also recommend contacting your bank in advance, specifying what other documents it needs (for example, some banks require a translation of the contract from a licensed translator, and some do not require it at all). The owner of at least 1/2 of the residential property of any value can count on a residence permit for real estate in Montenegro.
