The average cost of houses with the number "13", by 4,700 euros (18%) is cheaper than the average cost of houses in general - this result was given by the study of the largest Irish portal Daft.ie. For the calculation, the prices of more than a million Irish houses on the portal since January 2006 were taken, according to the World Property Journal .

The study also showed that starting from January 2010, the number of real estate transactions made on Friday 13th is less by 13.7% than on usual Friday, which is usually the most active day of the week in the real estate market.

The author of the study, Ronan Lyons, comments: "In general, the market for housing is driven by forces that are independent of the individual, such as supply and demand. Nevertheless, for specific people in the game comes a lot of small factors. Here we can see clear evidence of how widespread superstitions work in the housing market. "
