The cost of renting an apartment in Montenegro, especially on the coast, has decreased, RTCG TV channel reports. This is largely due to the departure of Ukrainians who either return to their homeland or go to other European countries. Today, there are about 30% fewer citizens of Ukraine than last year, according to employees of real estate agencies.
"We used to rent literally 20 apartments at a time. There were few apartments on the market, we lacked them. And now prices are falling heavily, and customers are already dictating them themselves," Aida Bechirovich from the real estate agency told the TV channel.
Russians began to come to the country much less.
"In 2023, 110,000 arrivals of Russian citizens and about two million overnight stays were recorded, and at the beginning of this year, about 50% less," a representative of the tourism industry notes.
At the same time, more Turks are coming to Budva and other coastal cities. Tourists from Western Europe also continue to visit Montenegro.
