The Hungarian real estate market continues to rise. The trend began in 2024 after two years of stagnation.
According to MTI, 9267 transactions were made in the country in January 2025, which is 9% less than in December, but 11% more than in January 2024.
The number of mortgage loans issued increased by 46% compared to January 2024.
The data shows an increase in prices in all regions and for all types of real estate, with the exception of brick houses in eastern Hungary.
Apartments in panel houses in Buda rose the fastest in the capital. Their prices have increased to an average of 2,490 euros per square meter. In Pest, the cost of such apartments has increased to 2,240 euros per square meter.
Apartments in brick houses in Buda were sold at an average price of 2986 euros per square meter, and in the center of Pest at 3235 euros per square meter. In other areas of Pest, the average price of such facilities was 2038 euros per square meter.
