The Italian housing market has completed the 3rd quarter of 2024 positively.
Average prices for apartments and houses increased by 1.7% quarter-on-quarter and by 2.2% year-on-year, to 1,851 euros per square meter, Idealista reports. However, at the same time, a decrease of 0.4% was recorded in September compared to August.

Housing prices by region
The most expensive regions for buying real estate are Trentino Alto Adige (3231 euros per sq. m.), Valle d'Aosta (2710 euros per sq.m.), Liguria (2513 euros per sq. m.). The most affordable: Calabria (932 euros per sq. m.) and Molise (902 euros per square meter).
Apartments and houses rose most significantly in the 3rd quarter in Calabria (4.7%), Marche (4.2%), Sardinia (3.8%) and Veneto (3.7%).Prices remained virtually unchanged in Liguria (+0.5%), Tuscany (+0.4%) and Lazio (0.1%).
