In the second quarter of 2015, prices for residential real estate in Spain fell by 2.4% compared to the first quarter of this year. And according to the appraisal company Tinsa, on average, Spanish property prices in the first half of the year decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year. The maximum annual increase in prices was recorded in Madrid and amounted to 4%. It is followed by Barcelona with a score of 3.9%. In the first six months of the year, house prices in the Balearic and Canary Islands grew by 4.4%, and on the Mediterranean coast - by 1.8%.
The average cost of new housing in Spanish cities was ˆ 1537/1 sq. Km. m, which is 0.8% lower than at the end of 2014. Real estate in settlements with a population of more than 100,000 in the first half of the year cost an average of ˆ 1652/1 sq. M. m, which is 0.5% lower than at the end of 2014. And housing in cities with a population of more than 25 000 people, the decline was very insignificant and amounted to 0.1% compared to last year, and the price was ˆ 1460/1 sq. M. m.
