Sales of apartments and houses in Italy increased by 15.8% last year, reaching 634,498. The volume of transactions by value increased by 1%. These are the data from the recently published notary report for 2024.
Prices showed an increase of 7.8% to 166,395 euros.
The most sales were recorded in the segment from 100,000 to 200,000 euros. Most of the holiday homes were purchased at a price of up to 99,000 euros.
There is an increase in sales of luxury real estate worth more than 1 million euros (+28.15% per year). Newly built or completely renovated facilities in this segment are particularly popular.
Most transactions in 2024 were made in Lombardy (19.22%), Piedmont (8.99%) and Lazio (8.94%).
