The Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) in Turkey increased by 1.8% month-on-month. Compared to April 2025, it increased by 26.6% in nominal terms and decreased by 4.3% in real terms. These are the Central Bank's data.
Month-on-month, RPPI grew by 1.6% in Istanbul, 2.6% in Ankara and 2.1% in Izmir. Year-on-year, Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir recorded growth of 26.2%, 29.9% and 26.7%, respectively.
The RPPI for new housing increased by 2.27% compared to the previous month and by 30.17% year-on-year (in March, the growth was 1.66% and 28.35%, respectively).
The RPPI for secondary housing increased by 1.63% month-on-month and by 26.09% year-on-year (in the previous month, the growth was 1.95% and 26.2%, respectively).
The rent index for new tenants (NTRI) rose by 1.7% month-on-month in April, showing an annual increase of 31.7% in nominal terms and an annual decrease of 0.5% in real terms.
Month-on-month, NTRI grew by 1.4% in Istanbul, 2.8% in Ankara and 1.2% in Izmir. Year-on-year, Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir recorded growth of 36.2%, 36.7% and 29.4%, respectively.Source: Hurriyet Daily News
