In the 2nd quarter of 2024, the cost of non-residential houses in Finland decreased by 6.8% year-on-year, but increased by 0.8% quarter-on-quarter. These are the data from Statistics Finland.
Sales of this type of real estate are falling. In April-June, the number of transactions decreased by 8% compared to the corresponding period a year earlier.
In large cities, the drop in house prices is less pronounced (-2.8% year-on-year) than in the rest of the country (-7.9% year-on-year).
As for new apartment buildings, housing in them fell in price by 2.9% year-on-year and by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter in the 2nd quarter.
