Egypt has stepped up efforts to create a national digital platform designed to attract foreign investors and strengthen the country's position in the global housing market. The project was the main topic of an expanded meeting between Housing Minister Randa El Menshawi and Communications Minister Raafat Hindi, which took place in the New Administrative Capital.
The new platform will provide foreign buyers with a single digital space to access verified real estate data, make secure transactions and interact with government agencies in a simplified manner. The authorities expect that the service will increase market transparency and reduce administrative barriers, which will eventually increase the inflow of foreign direct investment into the construction sector. Officials have confirmed the launch of the first stage of the project in New Alamein, one of the most promising investment zones on the Mediterranean coast. It is there that it is planned to work out all the mechanisms of the platform before scaling it to other regions.
