In February 2016 the price of second homes across Finland grew by 1.3% in comparison with January of this year, reports the Finnish news portal Yle co citing data from Statistics Finland.
In the metropolitan area the prices grew by 2.2%, and in other regions of the country - 0.4%.
Square meter of housing in the secondary market was worth around the country on average ˆ 2300 and in the metropolitan area, in the cities of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa - more than ˆ 3600. In other regions of the country the average cost of the "square" in this period amounted to ˆ 1700.
