Last week, Kazakhstan's Freedom Bank stopped issuing cards to Russians remotely. The bank's operators have confirmed this information.
Previously, Russian citizens could open an account with Freedom Bank and receive a Mastercard card quickly and without leaving home. It was also possible to issue an IIN of Kazakhstan (a prerequisite for opening an account) without visiting the country.
Now this popular option is missing, and you will have to go to Kazakhstan to get a Freedom Bank card. It is possible that the measure is temporary, and remote registration will resume.
About banks of which countries open accounts for Russians have recently been told in detail.
