The CDU/CSU alliance is leading the polls with 31% of the vote, which means that the parties are likely to lead the next coalition government in the country.
Sweden has already taken the path of stricter requirements for immigrants. She doubled the income requirements for foreign residents in November 2023. Foreigners working in Sweden must now earn at least 2,483 euros to be eligible for a residence permit.
