The Turkish specialized publication Emlak Kulisi shared statistics on real estate sales in Northern Cyprus to foreigners, referring to data provided by a well-known journalist.
EU citizens make up 25% of all foreign home buyers. The shares of citizens of other countries are distributed as follows:
- Russians - 12.7%,
- Iranians - 11.2%,
- Israelis - 6.4%,
- Ukrainians - 5.2%,
- Turks are 4.1%.
The share of Turkish citizens is likely to grow, as the legislation now allows them to own three properties, rather than one, as before. Representatives of other countries are limited to one facility in this regard.
