Georgia will start issuing passports for investments in the country's economy (strategic sectors).
To obtain citizenship, a foreigner must invest between 300,000 and 3 million euros through the Georgian Development Fund. The first investors who make a contribution within the prescribed period will have exclusive discounts, the official message says.The government expects to attract at least one billion US dollars of foreign direct investment in this way within 5 years.
A Georgian passport allows visa-free entry (or with a visa on arrival) to 122 countries, including the states of the Schengen area, Canada, and China.
