Indonesia has issued 471 visas of this type totaling 9 trillion rupees since the launch of the Golden Visa program on July 25, 2024, to December 10 this year.At the start of the program, there were already 300 preliminary applications.
The Golden Visa provides its holders with a number of privileges, such as a longer stay in the country, priority service in the immigration services of international airports.
The General Directorate of Immigration also reported on the issuance of other types of residence permits. In 2024, the institution granted 9,325,307 temporary residence permits (ITKs), 31 times more than in 2023; 259,944 limited stay permits (ITAS) and 6,437 permanent residence permits (ITAPS).Australians received the most visas and residence permits (1.5 million). In second place are citizens of China (1.2 million) and Malaysia (819,000).
