Foreigners have invested in Latvia almost 600 million euros for a residence permit

In the period from 2010 to 2013, foreigners invested 419.16 million lats (596.2 million euros) in the economy of Latvia in the program receive a residence permit in exchange for the purchase of real estate in the country, reported the online source The Baltic Course with reference on official data. Under this program three years were filed 2893 applications from foreigners and 3990 - from their families. Of this amount, it was approved by 97.9%, that is just the program period 6749 foreigners were granted residence permits.
