Foreign investors invested more than 2.87 billion US dollars in the Vietnamese real estate market from January to July 2024. This is a 78% increase compared to the same period last year. The data was provided by the Foreign Investment Agency of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
The agency reported that foreigners invested money in 18 of the 21 sectors of the economy, with the largest share of capital attracted by the manufacturing industry - more than 12.65 billion US dollars, or 70.3% of the total. The real estate industry took the second place.
Singapore is the largest investor in the Vietnamese economy. This is followed by Hong Kong, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea.
