Sales of apartments in condominiums in Thailand are growing. According to the Real Estate Information Center (REIC) for the 3rd quarter of 2024, the number of apartments transferred to foreigners increased by 11% year-on-year. It reached 3,756 units.
The total value of transactions also increased by 8.9% year-on-year to 18.571 billion baht.
More than half of all sales accounted for apartments worth up to 3 million baht (86,500 USD).
Apartments from 31 to 60 square meters (with 1-2 bedrooms) were in the highest demand among foreigners.
The Chinese were still the leaders among buyers from abroad. This was followed by citizens of Myanmar and Russia.The visitors were most interested in Bangkok, Chonburi (Pattaya) and Phuket. These regions collectively account for 74% of transactions with non-residents.
According to analysts, the growth of foreign investment in Thai condominiums can be explained by several factors, including Thailand's political stability, strong economy and attractive lifestyle.
