In 2024, almost 2.4 million foreigners visited Serbia, the Statistics Department reported. This is 11.7% more than a year earlier.
The number of overnight stays by tourists from abroad increased by 9.2% and amounted to 6.1 million.
Most of the guests came from Turkey (232,527), Russia (184,609), Bosnia and Herzegovina (167,983) and China (156,644).
In December alone, the total number of international tourists who arrived in the country increased by 4.9% compared to last year and amounted to 184,134 people, while the total number of overnight stays by foreigners increased by 9.2% and amounted to 486,975.
