According to the Jewish Agency, in the period from January 1 to December 1, 2022, 37,364 Olim (repatriates) arrived from Russia, 14,680 people from Ukraine, 3,500 people from North America, 2,049 people from France, 1,993 from Belarus person, from Ethiopia – 1,498 people, from Argentina – 985 people, from the UK – 526 people, from South Africa – 426, from Brazil – 356.
The final data for 2022 will be available at the end of the year. Approximately 27% (or about 19,000) of this year's Olim are young people between the ages of 18 and 35, who will strengthen Israeli society and economy. This group includes specialists in the fields of medicine, engineering and education. About 24% (16,500) of Olyms are under the age of 18, 22% are aged 36 to 50, 14% are aged 51 to 64, and 13% are 65 years of age or older.
Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Major General (retired) Doron Almog noted that "Aliyah is of key importance for the State of Israel both on a practical and moral level."
