In 2015, sales of primary housing in Israel has reached record levels. A total of 32 sold 370 new dwellings, which is by 40.3% more than in 2014. This tells Israeli news portal Globes with reference to data of the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The rapid increase in sales volume, says Globes, is associated with and unfulfilled by the program "0% VAT" ex-Finance Minister Yair Lapid, which was to lead to significantly lower prices. After it became known that the innovation will not come into force, on the primary housing market in 2015 was marked by a rapid jump in sales.
In terms of sales in 2015 were the leaders of Jerusalem. In total there were sold 2292 new residential units. Tel Aviv was ranked second. Followed by tikwa, Ramat Gan and Netanya.
The city with the rapid growth of sales volume was the Afula: here it sold 1164 objects (compared to 466 in 2014). And the increase in the number of transactions in Op-Akiva was even more significant: 711 objects compared to 128 in 2014.
