In the first nine months of 2024, Cambodia received 4.8 million tourists from abroad, which is 22.2% more than in the same period last year.
The record for tourist traffic was reached in 2019, when 6.6 million people visited the country.
The hospitality industry continues to recover from the pandemic. Cambodia is once again becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.
Most of the tourists come from neighboring Thailand. Other groups of tourists in Cambodia: citizens of China, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, USA, France, Great Britain, Indonesia.
The Ministry of Tourism expects to attract 7 million foreign visitors in 2025.
