The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of Kazakhstan has shortened the validity period of payment cards for non-residents. Now it is 12 months old.
As the Kazakh business publication "Italics" clarifies, the restriction does not apply to previously issued cards.
In addition, the requirement will not apply to businessmen, investors and diplomats.
The adopted measure is related to the fight against the use of banking services in the field of drug trafficking and digital assets.
