Previously, buyers from abroad were mainly interested in apartments in the Vinohrady area and new buildings near the center of Prague, but now they have begun to consider other options.
More and more foreigners are investing in residential complexes on the outskirts of the capital, in Brno and even in rural areas near the border with Germany, writes Expats.cz .
According to the Central Group, one of the largest developers in the Czech Republic, about a fifth of all apartment sales now come from foreigners.
Non-residents often purchase small apartments for rent.
About 10% of home buyers in prefabricated houses are foreigners, although most prefer modern or renovated apartments.
