According to a recent survey, "Levada-center", 15% of Russians would like to obtain a second citizenship. This was reported to RBC . Among young people about one quarter would like to get a second citizenship or residence permit. About 36% in favor of limiting the rights of dual citizenship holders. Of these, 68% are for a ban on second passport holders working in the civil service, 56% - to occupy leadership positions in strategic enterprises, 48% - to elected offices. 22% were in favor of an increase for this group of income tax, 13% - for the removal from the country, 12% and 10% - for the deprivation of their rights to free education and medicine, respectively. At the same time, 16% of Russians have a familiar and foreign citizenship. Young people and more educated people familiar with the share of the second citizenship above. Only 32% of respondents are aware of the new law, according to which the owners of the second citizenship and residence permits in other countries are obliged to notify the authorities of the Federal Migration Service of their presence.
