In August 2016, the volume of residential property sales in Cyprus increased by 50% compared to the same period last year, demonstrating, thus, the 13th consecutive month of growth. Meanwhile, according to the Famagusta Gazette , citing data from the Land Department.
Thus, the total number of transactions of purchase and sale of property in Cyprus this August amounted to 451 transaction compared to 301 in August 2015.
In the period January-August 2016 the volume of sales grew 30%, reaching 4088 transactions (3155 in January).
In the first nine months of this year at the Limassol had 1350 deals, which is 38% higher than a year earlier, while in Famagusta, this figure increased to 32% (251 transaction). In Larnaca, the volume of home sales grew by 28% (861), and in Nicosia 26% (640). This is followed by Paphos (+24% 996 transactions).
