In the first half of 2012 the Spanish consulate in Moscow issued about 558,000 visas, which is 39.95% more compared to the same period in 2011, reported the online source Euromag.ru with reference to RIA "Novosti". In July 2012 Russian citizens more than 151,200 visas were issued, which exceeds the figures for July 2011 by 39.33%. In 2011, about 672,000 Russian citizens were the Spanish visa, which is 51.9% more than in 2010.
