Costa Rica has launched a digital nomad visa. The visa program allows citizens of non-EU countries to live and work in the country for up to three years.
The Digital Nomad visa is designed for remote professionals, freelancers, and the self-employed.
What are the requirements for candidates?
- Proof of employment with a foreign company outside Costa Rica or availability of orders from foreign clients
- The minimum monthly income is $3,000 or $4,000 if you apply with your family members.
- The documents will require a valid passport, a certificate of absence of a criminal record and medical insurance covering the entire period of stay in Costa Rica.
