After five years of closure, the iconic hotel on the Adriatic Sveti Stefan has reopened, although not in full.
The mainland part of the resort, Villa Milo, the former summer residence of Queen Maria Karageorgievich, has been open since May 22, 2026. There are 8 luxury suites, the Aman Spa with an area of about 2,500 square meters, as well as the beaches of Queen's Beach and King's Beach. The cost of accommodation starts from 1,550 euros per night.
The island itself, with its famous stone cottages, will welcome its first guests on July 1, 2026. By this time, the restaurants on the island will be operational.
The opening was preceded by the settlement of a long-standing dispute between the state and the tenant, the company Adriatic Properties. The Montenegrin authorities will receive 10% of the profit from the operation of the hotel.
An important change for tourists:Previously, access to the beaches around Sveti Stefan was completely closed to outsiders, but now Queen's Beach will remain private (for guests only), and King's Beach and the beach of the island itself will become free for everyone.
The reopening of the legendary hotel is one of the most anticipated events of the 2026 tourist season on the Adriatic.
