The Travelato travel portal has presented its selection of the 30 most beautiful islands in the world.
The first place was taken by Bora Bora, located in the South Pacific Ocean. It is a romantic island resort known for its crystal clear turquoise lagoons, vibrant coral reefs and luxurious bungalows above the water.
Just below on the pedestal are the Maldives. This is an iconic place for a luxurious vacation, a paradise for newlyweds and divers. The archipelago consists of more than a thousand islands, famous for their snow-white sand and spectacular underwater world.
The Greek Santorini, located in the Aegean Sea, closes the top three. It is famous for its sunsets, beaches with volcanic sand, white houses on the rocks along the coast.The whole list looks like this:
