In the capital of Serbia, on the right bank of the Sava River, between the Adana Bridge and the future pedestrian bridge (the Old Railway Bridge), a new landmark district Belgrade Waterfront Marina will appear.
The project, according to the developer Belgrade Waterfront, includes the construction of a marina, public spaces, cultural facilities and transport infrastructure.
It is planned to build a tower with a height of about 120 meters and several other buildings. The marina will house a yacht club and an outdoor swimming pool.
As previously announced, a ferris wheel called the Belgrade Eye will be erected on the banks of the Sava River in New Belgrade, between the future pedestrian bridge and the Gazela Bridge.
The project also provides for extension of the Sava embankment by 2.4 kilometers, all the way to Ada Tsiganlia. Walking and cycling paths, as well as recreation areas and public facilities are planned along the new route.
This is not all the transformations. Next up is the creation of the "Green Line" A linear park that will connect Topchider Park with a new pedestrian bridge and park areas on both banks of the Sava.
The plan also includes the transformation of Hall 1 into a cultural institution designed to house an opera house. A central square is planned in front of the building, and the future purpose of Halls 2 and 3 will be determined during an open architectural competition.
The transport infrastructure of the new complex includes an avenue with two lanes in each direction, pedestrian zones and alleys lined with trees, as well as the construction of an underground parking lot in the Belgrade Fair area, Hall 1, with additional parking spaces along the main roads.
