Real estate in Slovenia is gradually becoming more expensive, despite the decline in sales

The Statistical Office of Slovenia has shared data on the real estate market for the 3rd quarter of 2024.

Housing prices as a whole rose by 7.9% year-on-year and by 1.7% quarter-on-quarter.

At the same time, prices for new buildings increased by 6.7% year-on-year and by 0.2% quarter-on-quarter. In the secondary market, the increase was 8.4% year-on-year and 1.9% quarter-on-quarter.

The total value of housing transactions made in the 3rd quarter of last year amounted to 286.9 million euros, which is 15% less than in the previous quarter and about 0.2% less than in the same quarter last year. 

A total of 1,737 real estate transactions were registered in Slovenia. This is 16% less than in the previous quarter and 30% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.
