In February 2025 in Budapest, according to ingatlan.com Housing prices increased by 17% year-on-year and by 4.4% month-on-month.
The average price per square meter in the secondary market of the Hungarian capital reached 1.24 million forints (3,100 euros) by the beginning of March. In area X, the average price is 975,000 HUF (2,430 euros) per square meter, while in remote areas such as XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX, XXI and XXIII, prices range from 767,000 to 922,000 HUF (1915-2,300 euros) per sq. m.
The average cost of an apartment in Budapest now reaches 108 million forints (270,000 euros), and in the secondary market it is close to 97 million forints (242,000 euros). However, areas such as XX and XXIII offer more affordable options. Ready-made housing can be bought there for an average of 55 million forints (137,000 euros).
