According to the country's statistical bureau (CBS), the cost of housing on the secondary market in November 2012 fell by almost 9% compared to 2011. Over the same period, the price index for single–family homes fell by 6.6%, and for apartments - by 7.5%.
According to the source, the most significant price drop during this period was recorded in Amsterdam (11.2%) and Apeldoorn (9.7%). The volume of the country's real estate market has also decreased – from January to November 2012, the number of properties sold decreased by 7.2% compared to the same period last year.
