The Polish real estate market remains weak, while the European economic crisis is increasingly affecting the country's economy, according to the online resource Global Property Guide.
According to the data of the Ober Haus company, during 2012 the average cost per square meter in apartments in Warsaw decreased by almost 2.5% to 8002 Polish zlotys (1907 euros), the fall in housing prices in other Polish cities turned out to be more significant. Over the same period, real estate in the cities of Lodz and Gdansk fell in price by 6.6%, in Krakow – by 4.6%, in Poznan – by 4.4%.
It is expected that the indicators of the Polish real estate market will remain low throughout 2013, as the country now has the highest unemployment rate since 2006.
