The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the National Directorate of Emergency Situations, Crises and Natural Disasters (NCEMA), organized the return of approximately 500 golden visa holders who were blocked abroad due to the closure of airspace amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The airspace over most of the Middle East has been periodically restricted since February 28, and on March 16, flights were briefly suspended due to a drone strike near Dubai International Airport.
The authorities stressed that the response mechanisms were activated in advance, and all efforts were coordinated with the UAE's diplomatic missions abroad. Immigration experts praised the actions of the Emirati authorities, noting that the country fulfills its promises to residents.
