In November 2024, home sales in Turkey, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute, increased by 63.6% compared to the same month last year. The provinces with the most transactions are Istanbul (26,320), Ankara (14,916) and Izmir (8,583).
For the period from January to November, sales increased by 16.4% compared to the same period last year.
Foreigners bought 8.2% fewer apartments in Turkey in November and houses than in November 2023. The number of transactions with them amounted to 2,151, and their share in the total volume was 1.4%.
Citizens of other countries bought the most real estate in Istanbul (780 transactions), Antalya, including Alanya (752 transactions), and Mersin (191 transactions).
For the period from January to November, sales to foreigners decreased by 35.1% year-on-year.
The most active non-local buyers have traditionally been Russians (421 transactions). This is followed by citizens of Iran (200 transactions), Ukraine (160 transactions), Iraq (147 transactions), Germany (115 transactions), Kazakhstan (76 transactions), Azerbaijan (74 transactions).
