Asian countries dominated this year's list, taking six of the top ten positions. Southeast Asia, in particular, stood out: Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand entered the top ten.

The entire top 10 looks like this:
- Vietnam
- Colombia
- Indonesia
- Panama
- Philippines
- India
- Mexico
- Thailand

- China
InterNations, the company that conducted the research, asked respondents to assess the level of personal satisfaction with the cost of living in the country, their financial situation and whether the household's disposable income is sufficient to lead a comfortable life.
More than 12,000 emigrants from 174 regions around the world participated in the survey. The personal finance index is not the only parameter that was analyzed. The Expat Insider 2024 study also assessed the quality of life, determined the best and worst places to live.
