In 2023, just over 14,000 foreigners purchased real estate in Poland, Warsaw Business Journal writes. Citizens of Ukraine were in the lead among home buyers. They bought almost 6,900 apartments, which is about 10% more than in 2022.
This year, Belarusians are more active than Ukrainians in the Polish market.
EU citizens have lost interest in Polish real estate due to the country's territorial proximity to Ukraine.
The Polish housing market is almost completely open to foreigners, with the exception of the border area adjacent to the state border. This includes, among others, Trigorod, Szczecin, Svinoujscie and Zakopane.
