Starting from June 1, 2025, Poland relaxed the rules for granting EU Blue Cards.
What are the key changes?
- Now it is enough to show at least three years of professional experience (acquired in the previous seven years) and you may not have the appropriate education. However, this is true only for representatives of certain professions.
- Employment contracts should now be for a minimum of only 6 months, instead of 12, as before.
- Blue cards are no longer linked to a specific employer or job, which means that their holders now have full access to the Polish labor market and are free to change jobs. They still have to meet the criteria for highly qualified work and notify the immigration office when they change jobs.
In addition, the conditions of relocation have been simplified for those who have EU Blue Cards obtained in other countries.
